Barings’ Client Portfolio Management Team is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager - Associate Director to support our European Real Estate platform.
The Associate Director will collaborate closely with senior members of Client Portfolio Management, as well as the Investment and Global Business Development Group, to address both new and ongoing business development initiatives related to the European Real Estate equity platform.
The primary focus will be on the Barings European Core Property Fund. This role will be based in London and will report to the Head of Client Portfolio Management for European Real Estate (Managing Director), also located in London

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Client Portfolio Management to set the capital raising strategy for European real
  • estate equity products, with a primary focus for BECPF
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to implement and monitor the capital raising strategy
  • Active engagement with existing clients and new prospects to help grow the fund’s capital base
  • Coordinate and respond to Requests for Information and Requests for Proposals from clients and
  • prospects
  • Production and updating of investor materials – Investor Presentation, Factsheet, Due Diligence
  • Questionnaire, Deal Summaries etc
  • Coordinate investor events such as the Quarterly Investor Calls and the Annual General Meeting
  • Coordinate regular and ad-hoc investor reporting – Flash Report, Quarterly Report
  • Attendance and active participation at investor meetings and on roadshows
  • Managing and running investor due diligence days
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the Global Business Development Group for BECPF queries
  • Acting as the main point of contact for marketing for any Marketing campaigns
  • Engage with Research to develop thought pieces to aid the capital raising process
  • Report capital raising progress back to the Investment Team
  • Attendance at industry events

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • ACA, CFA or MBA advantageous
  • Relevant industry experience within investment management and knowledge of European real estate
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive tasks independently as well as perform
  • effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel required, including experience using MS Office software
  • to produce high quality presentations
  •  Ability and willingness to travel if needed
