Our client, London CIV was established by London Local Authorities to manage London’s Local Government Pension Scheme assets back in 2015. They are delivering solutions which allow LGPS Partner Funds to invest assets on behalf of their beneficiaries, and to provide improved and more efficient investment outcomes. They will always aim to add value to the Partner Funds through offering economies of scale, greater efficiency and improved performance.
They are now looking for a confident and personable Client Relationship Manager to join their busy team at the heart of London.

Client Relationship Manager, the role:

  • Managing successful working relationships with Partner Funds, their Investment Consultants, Independent Advisors, the Actuary custodian, Members, Treasures and Pension Fund Officers - identifying opportunities to deliver added value
  • Collaborating with all internal stakeholders, especially the wider Client Relationship team, Chief Proposition Officer and the Investment team
  • Working on specific projects that will contribute to generate new revenue streams
  • Investing time to understand the governance arrangements and how investments strategies are set up for the Partner Funds
  • Contributing to the achievement of the Client Relationship team’s AUM growth targets
  • Maintaining relevant and up-to-date knowledge of the UK government’s pooling policies
  • Preparing presentation materials, capturing and sharing information logged during meetings and overseeing the necessary follow-up of actions

Client Relationship Manager, the person:

  • Previous experience in the similar role with relevant knowledge from the Financial Services industry
  • Investment and/or asset management background would be ideal
  • Strong knowledge of the Private and Public markets
  • In-depth understanding of financial products including equities and bonds
  • Commercial mindset and confident in communicating and presenting to clients
  • Excellent credibility with investment managers and clients at all levels
  • Solutions-focused with a positive can-do attitude
  • Analytical, collaborative and organisations skills - ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • Good understanding of LGPS and the pension market as well as knowledge of Salesforce would be desirable
