Military and Emergency Services Health Australia (MESHA), a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) Group is seeking a purpose-driven individual to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your communication and coordination skills to be our program and student go to person – from program participant intake to student support.

Our MESHA team are a passionate group dedicated to the effective delivery of research, training and wellbeing programs that support current and former service military and emergency service personnel and their families. The training portfolio includes students from numerous Universities that do industry placements and higher degree by research studies with us each semester. We also train lived experience program facilitators to deliver our wellbeing programs.
The wellbeing programs range from supporting service personnel and families during service and after service, to assist with seeking employment and managing the changes of leaving service through to support programs for mental health, to grow and find a new normal. We’re looking for individuals who possess:
- Proven experience in a customer service, program client intake or administration role.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with a person centred empathetic approach.
- The ability to multitask, manage and negotiate priorities in a results-oriented team.
- The ability to use or learn how to use diverse ICT software programs such as SharePoint, CRM Dynamix, Trello, Endnote and more.
- Experience and knowledge of working in a mental health service and/or tertiary student environment is highly regarded.
- A deep understanding of or willingness to learn about our cause and the communities we serve.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Coordinator this role is responsible for:
- Support the planning and coordination of MESHA Programs and MESHA Student Placements.
- Support program and student logistics including fliers, training videos, workbooks and manuals, venue bookings and record keeping.
- Manage communications and support relationships with workshop referral clinicians and agencies, participants, students, universities, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Support program participant intake, group allocation and dynamics in consultation with the Operations Coordinator.
- Support student intake, onboarding, training, project allocation, and ongoing communications with the student cohort and associated universities.
