KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience of working with, analysing and interpreting data sets to provide solutions and insights.
  • Very good Excel skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Client reporting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Objects and Crystal Reports is preferred.
  • Work experience in the financial sector is preferred.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and QlikView is preferred.
  • Degree in finance related degree or degree in quantitative or technology subjects preferred.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The position is for a Senior Associate in the UK Operations team within the Client Reporting team, which is responsible for preparation & delivery of all financial & analytical client data both internally & externally. This includes production of reporting on Pantheon’s Fund of Funds, bespoke client reporting, and ad-hoc requests. The role will require the individual to collaborate with teams in London, Asia and USA while providing the global client service and investment teams support as requests are received. The individual is expected to be responsible for maintaining and building reports in systems currently used by the Reporting team. Specifically, the individual will be working on standard and bespoke quarterly and monthly client reports sent out to clients such as valuation and performance reports. Understanding and interpreting requests and the sourcing and analysis of the data available to provide answers is a key skill to succeed in this role. As a more senior member of the team, the individual will also be responsible for supporting the reporting managers in the overall deliveries of the reporting team, including efficient delivery of the scheduled and Adhoc workloads. It will include managing the expectations of stakeholders and supporting and managing the workload of junior members of the team. The individual will also be the SME of various strategy and client level reporting, and the methodology that supports this.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Report Development and Maintenance of BAU process

  • Develop an understanding on Pantheon products, the Pantheon organisation and reporting requirements to support current reports.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of all processes and reporting deliverables through the understanding of data sources and data flows, and capabilities of reporting systems
  • Show a more strategic view in setting direction of the use of data, automation and analysis. Tackling issues and solve through technology and improved process wherever possible.
  • Train and develop team members to grow and improve they knowledge and technical skills
  • Engage with key stakeholders to build up better relationships and understanding across Pantheon

Production of Client, Fund and Ad Hoc Reports

  • Across both individual and team tasks:
  • Ensure all regular reporting deliverables allocated are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure ad hoc client requests allocated to you are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Reduce error rates and mitigate risk through the adoption of appropriate controls, process documentation, cross training and process improvement.
  • Support development of junior members of the team and review of their output
  • Be a point of contact for various strategies, stakeholders or clients.

Responsibilities / Decision Making / Advice

  • The individual should be able to work as part of a team in a busy environment producing accurate work, sometimes under pressure, with an emphasis on attention to detail. Work autonomously but be aware that some decisions can and will be checked with the supervisor for this role.
  • The individual should be able to support and drive the change and development of the reporting process; this will require a high degree of understanding of client reporting requirements, the data architecture of Pantheon, and the capabilities of the systems used and being implemented. The candidate will need to display the ability to work on their own initiative; queries can be referred to supervisor for this role.
  • Engage and work with stakeholders across the firm to identify and develop report content that meets the needs of clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives across the team

Team related

  • Monitor weekly workloads, allocate resource where necessary. This includes ensuring deliverables are planned with other teams as necessary
  • In the absence of the team supervisor the Candidate will be able to assume responsibilities for coordinating resources within the team and responding to stakeholder queries to ensure a seamless execution of the team’s responsibilities.
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate metrics for the team to assist with stakeholder engagement and management reporting.
  • Represent the team in both internal and external meetings, supporting/deputising for the head of team as required.
  • Build relationships and influence with stakeholders to generate support for the team
  • Provide technical support, guidance and training for less experienced members of the team.
