YOUR ROLE

The Office of the NSW Legal Services Commissioner (OLSC) is an independent statutory office that deals with complaints about lawyers.
The Client Service Officer role is part of a team-based approach to provide administrative and clerical support services to the operations of the OLSC and reception/client services to the public.
This is a hybrid workplace role, currently performed both from the OLSC office in the Sydney CBD, and from home, based on staffing requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Client Services Officer is responsible for completing the following tasks:

  • Provide administrative, clerical and client services support to assist the operational effectiveness of the Office of the Legal Services Commissioner, including contribution to and participation in the administrative team to improve service delivery to clients.
  • Provide courteous and efficient reception services, including answering telephones and attending visitors at the front counter.
  • Perform accurate data entry, file creation and searches relating to complaints about the legal profession.
  • Provide accurate word processing services, producing large quantities of routine correspondence within tight timeframes.
  • Accurate preparation of complaint related documentation, including document scanning and photocopying.
  • Managing large and variable workloads while also staffing the Office’s reception telephone lines.
  • Prioritising multiple tasks and unexpected increases in workload.
  • Assisting the Administration Manager and other OLSC executive officers with administrative duties as required.
