JOB SUMMARY
Acera Insurance has an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, team-oriented Client Service Specialist working in our Calgary SE office. You are a key part of the Client Services Team, working with sales and service roles to achieve common goals and provide exceptional service to our clients.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education and/or related courses in group benefits (i.e. CEBS)
- Completed or willing to complete the Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) within 3 months’ time
- Sound benefits industry knowledge and experience, preferably in a similar environment
- Highly adaptable, driven to be your best, and proven initiative
- Proven experience providing excellent, high quality customer service
- Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
- Dedicated team player with the ability to take initiative; be independent with a positive attitude and dedication to quality and accuracy
- Must be a fast learner with a demonstrated ability to work in a self-managed manner, with an exceptional ability to meet hard deadlines while handling multiple tasks
- Creative thinker with ideas that will drive efficiency and improve team performance
- A good understanding of personal computers and software, particularly MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook

Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage and maintain Group Life and Health benefits plans for clients, including preparation of new client applications and amendment applications
- Conduct client and employee presentations
- Review contracts and employee booklets, and provide support to clients
- Work closely with advisors and insurance carriers
- Support clients with their questions and requests
- Improve customer service experience, create engaged customers and facilitate organic growth
