OPPORTUNITY

Pacific Community Resources Society is seeking an experienced, energetic, and engaging Client Services Representative to provide reception and administrative support to staff and stakeholders of the WorkBC center. The Client Service Representative will be responsible for basic reception duties, general maintenance of the office area, and providing administrative support to the staff and leaders of the center. This position requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as pre-screening individuals for eligibility and services is essential, on the phone as well as in person. Since the center is open to the public, the Client Services Representative will be comfortable engaging with diverse people with a variety of challenges and needs to be flexible and adaptable, able to identify priorities and adapt to changes.
The Client Services Representative will require excellent computer skills, to be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and to work on complex databases. As for ordering and maintaining an inventory of office supplies and financial supports are part of the role, organization and detailed-oriented are attributes essential to this position. Since this position is often the first point of contact with the center, it is essential that the Client Services Representative be knowledgeable about the WorkBC services available and be able to provide accurate information to those who inquire.
This position works Monday – Friday 9:00a.m. to 4:30 p.m. based on operational need.

QUALIFICATIONS

All PCRS staff are required to pass a Criminal Record Check, performed by the Ministry of Justice, including the vulnerable sector check for work with children and vulnerable adults.

All staff in our WorkBC centres are also required to pass a Criminal Record Check performed by the local police or RCMP as applicable, including the vulnerable sector check for work with children and vulnerable adults.

  • Post-Secondary certificate, diploma in administration, customer service or relevant field.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues both in person and in a virtual service delivery environment.
  • Dealing with difficult clients, utilizing de-escalation techniques and strategies both in person and virtually.
  • MS Office and overall computer proficiency including data administration utilizing complex databases, specifically the Integrated Case Management (ICM) system.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and follow WorkBC policies and the Employment Insurance Act.
