ARE YOU AN EXPERIENCED PROJECT MANAGER WITH A PASSION FOR THE ENVIRONMENT?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity to help Derbyshire Dales District Council continue its journey to being a net zero organisation by 2030.
We have a series of funded projects underway to help deliver this goal and are looking for someone who can not only drive these forward but also develop a future workstream. The successful candidate will be instrumental in leading our ambition to be a net zero district, working across a number of sectors to build key partnerships.
The Council is committed to enhancing the biodiversity of the district through our Nature Delivery Plan and the post holder will lead the delivery of this plan, seeking opportunities for funding and collaborative working. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who can show us a real passion for environmental issues and who will be able to successfully engage with the Council, partners, businesses, residents and the wider community to influence positive action.
Our new ambitious Corporate Plan has a ‘green thread’ running right through it, so the successful candidate will be required to work across the full range of Council services, taking on the responsibility for driving forward our plans and monitoring and reporting on progress.
