About the role
- The Clinic Coordinator will provide strategic operational leadership and management of nursing, administrative and operational services of the Nurse Led Walk in Clinic to ensure effective coordination of the practice.
- The Clinic Coordinator will provide leadership in the planning and implementation of strategies and reviews of the operations and processes of the Nurse Led Walk in Clinic in an environment of change and development.
- The Clinic Coordinator will lead effective and efficient rostering of nursing, operational and administration staff supporting high value service delivery and personal centred care of the practice.
About you
This successful applicant will carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health’s core values.
- The Clinic Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of nursing and administration staff team within the Nurse Led Walk in Clinic.
- Provide leadership and management by modelling and promoting professional competence, accountability and ethical behaviour and commitment to meet the needs of the practice, whilst building and sustaining positive relationships with team members, key stakeholders and consumers.
- Undertake human resources duties for nursing, operational and administration staff including rostering in line with flexible working arrangements, shift break agreements and assume responsibility for clinic-based operations in line with current Qld Health Awards and Agreements.
- Actively work to ensure that the interests of COH patients and the community served are the main considerations in operational decision making.
- Establish and effectively maintain collaborative business relationships and partnerships with the Health Service and more broadly, to ensure that clinic activities are integrated, productive and opportunities to leverage and share are fully exploited.
- Demonstrate expertise in human, material, financial and resource management policies and procedures including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour, complying with the Queensland Health Code of Conduct.
