Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Position responsible for coordination of daily operations of the department/division including physician support, patient services, staff supervision, and organizational management. Participates in the strategic planning and overall development of the department/division.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.

Responsibilities:
- Works to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provides management direction and assistance in resolving issues and complaints by Center physicians, patients and referring physician offices.
- Coordinates patient services, ensuring quality care is provided in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Works with the division chief and administration on developing the strategic plan to grow the department/division.
- Implements and monitors the developmental action plan including monitoring phone data, Epic reports and other defined metrics required to be reviewed.
- Manages clinical and administrative support staff. Duties include hiring, training, mentoring, scheduling evaluation and termination. Oversees the clinical operation for the division.
- Budgetary responsibility for clinical and office supplies. Ensures coordination and maintenance of department/division equipment and supplies. Keeps supplies within set par levels. Notifies ambulatory director of any facility related issues including the need for equipment repair or purchase. Completes new equipment request paperwork.
- Ensures patient safety, including while they are involved in interventional procedures performed within the department/division. Monitors safety checks and that time outs happen on every procedure.
- Works closely with department leadership to initiate new policies/procedures and quality control indicators through quality assurance and risk management programs. Maintains compliance with existing policies and procedures.
- Promotes and maintains effective communications and collaboration with WUSM faculty.
- Provides reports, analysis and maintains records as required.
- Obtains expert knowledge of all clinical systems used in the department/division, including Epic electronic medical record, Amion scheduling and Workday.
