Current Opportunity
We are looking for a patient-inspired, passionate and experienced Clinical Account Manager (CAM) who has a career interest in rare-disease states, with demonstrated success in new product launches.
This top performing Clinical Account Manager will possess experience in business ownership, leadership, analytics, and the implementation of innovative solutions. The CAM will formulate an effective go-to-market plan, focusing on Neurologists and Pediatric Neurologists, including establishing short- and long-term business strategies. It will be the responsibility of the CAM to identify key priorities within their geography to create and implement a business plan that is organizationally approved and fully compliant with all laws.

Responsibilities

As a Clinical Account Manager, you are the field-based regional business owner with focus on increasing HCP awareness and understanding of promoted company product(s) by:

  • Identifying and establishing strong relationships with key opinion leaders and customers; while demonstrating an ability to recognize and devote the necessary time and resources needed to engage with HCPs to create advocates
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical account management initiatives, in collaboration with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrating and enhancing the company’s culture of compliance, integrity, and transparency
  • Possessing an entrepreneurial approach with a focus on ownership and accountability to maximize/exceed individual and company goals
  • Maintaining exceptional knowledge of the disease state, rare drug market, competing products and of the healthcare marketplace as a whole
  • Understanding healthcare trends in the Rare Disease community and applying strategies to mitigate account access challenges
  • Employing strong organizational and analytical skills to optimize growth, including the ability to analyze business data to develop strategic and actionable business plans
  • Developing and maintaining strong partnerships across commercial, compliance, and medical affairs functions
  • Driving change through influence and innovation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or higher
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in a similar role
  • 5+ years of field-based experience in the rare or ultra-rare disease space (preferred)
  • Experience within Neurology and Pediatric Neurology (preferred)
  • Scientific acumen and proficiency in highly specialized and complex diseases
  • Approximately 50 - 75% travel is required including overnight travel as needed
  • Some travel and attendance on evenings and weekends for regional and national meetings, conferences and advocacy support events
  • Successful biotech/pharma product launch experience with a proven track record of exceeding territory goals
  • Compliantly operating in accordance with all regulations as well as company policy and procedures
  • Proven experience working within Hospitals, Academic Institutions, and clinics calling on interdisciplinary care teams
  • Extraordinary commitment to customer experience, demonstrating high ethical and performance standards, with all business contacts
  • Demonstrates the ability to prospect new targets
  • Track record of researching and problem-solving complex issues impacting HCPs while mitigating barriers to patient’s access to care
  • Strong presentation and management skills
  • Detail oriented and precision while able to see “big picture”
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to deal with ambiguity and problem solve
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Word, Excel)
