MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Nursing Science
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience in improvement methodology or process engineering, LEAN or Six Sigma will be an advantage
  • Some formal training in QI or process engineering and a relevant Quality Improvement certified course will be an advantage
  • Able to communicate in English, isiZulu and/or isiXhosa
  • SANC Registered (where appropriate to primary discipline)
  • NIMART certified
  • APC trained
  • Dispensing license
  • Computer literate: Efficient in Microsoft Office
  • Valid code 08 Driver’s License (willingness to drive oneself)

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The purpose of this role is the implementation and recording of Priority Populations Preventions (PP-PREV) Program interventions in TB HIV Care supported sites as per implementation model. To ensure full integration between behavioural, psychosocial and biomedical interventions. Ensure navigation of bi-directional referrals between facility and community where needed. To lead clinical and QI activities and work collaboratively with cluster team to optimise programme performance by embedding QI.
The incumbent will provide supervision, mentoring, training, guidance, coordination, and evaluation of activities of CQI program in each cluster.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain relationships with biomedical, psychosocial support team, peer educators as well as learner support agents and IES ambassadors in identified clusters
  • Contribute to the development and execution of multi-cluster Quality Improvement.
  • Mentor and support QI interventions towards achieving the QI project aims
  • Use prescribed data tools to track progress within cluster including collecting TIER.net
  • Assist cluster coordinator with co-facilitation of QI Learning Sessions
  • Ensure mapping of all service providers and hots spots for mobilisation of vulnerable AGYW and sites Provide oversight of the package of integrated SRH services
  • Link beneficiary to PrEP CT teams
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to subordinates
  • Develop QI capacity among cluster staff
  • Adheres to Infection Prevention Control (IPC) standards
  • Implements the Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) protocol
  • Ensures appropriate navigation and referral of all new biomedical, psychosocial, behavioural
  • Identify victims of gender-based violence and provision of minimum package of post violence care
  • Ensure case management strategy is implemented by PrEP CT team
  • Develop, lead, monitor and report on project related to health information strengthening
  • QA/QI reporting
  • Develop QI Plans
