Description:

Responsibilities:

The post holder will work with our services users to develop a shared understanding of their eating disorder, and the impact this has on their mental, physical health and well-being, and how it impacts those around them. The post will involve working across the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Under supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, you will undertake psychological assessments, and develop psychological formulations to guide therapeutic interventions when working on a one-to-one basis with our service users. You will manage your own case load. You will also be working with other team members to deliver and evaluate group-based interventions such as Guided Self Help. Opportunities to be involved with service development and teaching are also part of the role.
A good understanding of some of the physical and psychological risks experienced by our patients will be helpful. You will be supported with risk management by the team, alongside training and development opportunities relevant to your role and equipping you with specialist skills. You will also be able to take part in our weekly CPD programme, where we have an extensive range of internal and external speakers.
We have a strong culture of research and a continuous drive for improving quality, and there is plentiful opportunity to contribute to our ongoing research and development programme.
