Description:

The Clinical Audit team have an exciting opportunity to join them, to work, support and contribute to the implementation and management of the Clinical Audit programme and framework at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust.
We are looking for an organised and resourceful individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who enjoys working with people and data.
The postholder will assist with the development, delivery, reporting and promotion of a robust and effective clinical audit programme within a Clinical Audit framework. They will collaborate with a wide range of staff across Care Groups to develop and sustain a culture of quality improvement through clinical audit and other quality initiatives.
They will support clinical audit projects in line with the Trust objectives and priorities set by the Board, Quality Improvement Agenda and clinical services senior management. To assist in audit activity related to National Audits, CQUIN’s, KPI’s and National Confidential Inquiry.
Support all aspects of clinical audit activity and NICE guidance. Plan own clinical audit activities according to the needs and priorities of the organisation.
Participating in the planning and development of the Trust clinical audit programme in accordance with Trust Clinical priorities and objectives using local systems for the monitoring of Trust wide audits.
Support the delivery of national audits by obtaining data sample, perform data quality and validtiy checks to ensure the sample fits the eligibility criteria. Meet with service leads/consultants to discuss the project, responsible for quality checking returns and inputting on external national database, ensuring all deadlines throughout the project are met within a timely manner.
Support in all aspects of the clinical audit cycle by researching topics, designing bespoke audit tools, collecting data, analaysing large quantities of complex data using statitistical techniques, with accuracy and interpreting the findings.
Enhance and maintain databases and spreadsheets to enable collation of additional information for regular monitoring.
Communicate audit findings to the relevant forums ie Clinical Audit & Assurance Monitoring Group (CAAMG), SLT meetings and other committee meetings chaired by a member of the Trust board.

Essential requirements for the post include: Experience of working within the NHS. Knowledge/experience of clinical audit. Experience of qualitative and quantitative methodologies or undertaking data analysis. Highly competent in the use of excel, word, databases and spreadsheets and report writing.
