Description:

DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Auditor-Surgical Services is responsible for reviewing perioperative and anesthesia documentation, as well as patient charging records for Surgery, Endoscopy, SAU and PACU. Responsibilities include auditing and reviewing nursing documentation for completeness and accuracy; auditing and verifying patient charges. The Clinical Auditor is expected to identify charting discrepancies and provide feedback to the responsible nurse in order to correct the discrepancies by addendum to the official document in a timely manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of Surgical tech experience in an operating room environment.
  • 2 years of work experience that includes general knowledge of patient care processes and understanding of a variety of surgical procedures and surgical supplies.
  • Demonstrates experience with computer systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Surgical Technologist Certification upon hire.
  • Experience in a hospital setting.
