Key accountabilities will include:
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with hospital contracting arrangements and other industry guidelines under the supervision of the Lead Health Information Manager
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to validate erroneous hospital claiming
- Work closely with Providers and relevant Provider stakeholders to recover benefit outlays for validated erroneous hospital claiming
- Work as part of the Hospital Audit Team in conducting audits to ensure data integrity and a high level of compliance with Australian Coding Standards.
- Support and work as an integral part of the Hospital Audit Team by actively contributing to all aspects of the team’s goals and objectives. Including initiatives to resolve future erroneous claiming and inappropriate benefit outlay
- Maintain close networks with Provider HIM and Accounts staff to conduct validation of claims selected for audit.
- Participate in divisional and organisational projects and initiatives as require
Responsibilities:
As a result of an internal move, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Clinical Coder to join our dynamic and supportive team.
Reporting into the Hospital Audit Lead, this role plays a pivotal role in conducting audits to ensure compliance with Australian Coding Standards. This role will play a role in providing accurate advice on relevant Clinical Coding/ DRG matters to internal and external stakeholders to allow for informed decisions to be made on hospital and medical claim payment issues.
