WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE UNIQUE TO OTHERS?
The Clinical Coding Auditor/Educator role is unique due to its blend of auditing and educational responsibilities within the Liverpool Hospital. This dual focus ensures compliance with complex regulations, directly impacts patient care and reimbursement, and requires specialised knowledge of coding systems and medical terminology.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
It involves reviewing clinical codes for accuracy and compliance, identifying and correcting coding errors, and creating and delivering training sessions on coding standards and best practices to clinical coders and clinicians. The role also requires staying updated with regulatory changes and developing educational materials to support coding accuracy and adherence.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maintain the quality of coded data.
