Description:
An exciting opportunity is now available within the NBT eXtra temporary staffing team as a Clinical Competence Advisor. Working with our Clinical Competence Lead for non-medical staff you will play in integral role in providing clinical guidance and advice for our clinical workers across NBT. T his is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic person to use their clinical skills in a new team, and contribute to enhancing the temporary staffing provision across the Trust.
Professional NMC registration is required for the role, however we would consider applications also from other professional registrants (i.e HCPC registered)
The Clinical Competence Advisor will provide clinical guidance and advice for all matters relating to the nursing practice of bank Registered Nurses (RN) and bank Health Care Support Workers (HCSW), and other clinical roles and is professionally responsible for maintaining quality standards for the supply of clinical (Non-Medical) temporary Bank and Agency workers.
The post holder will play a pivotal role in the management and compliance of key performance indicators aligned to but not limited to complaints, concerns and clinical incidents reported via Datix involving Bank and Agency workers, Mandatory and Statutory Training (MaST) and
Temporary workers inductions, Bank and Agency.
The post holder will provide expert advice to internal, external service users and Bank workers across the organisation promoting compliance and clinical best practice across the organisation for the provision and usage of temporary workforce

Serve as a subject matter expert on competence and quality, providing related guidance and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify and assess potential compliance risks, developing strategies for mitigation in collaboration with the Clinical Competence Lead and relevant stakeholders as
directed.
Triage all concerns and complaints relating to Bank and Agency workers in the first instance escalating any concerns to the Clinical Competence Lead.
Conduct investigations into conduct and or competence-related issues, gather evidence, and prepare reports with recommendations aligned to the NBT eXtra Competency and Conduct management process.
Contribute to the development and review of NBT eXtra policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices specific to a temporary workforce.
Develop and implement communication plans to promote understanding and adherence to competence standards across the organisation.
Assist in the design and rollout of audit mechanisms to measure and monitor competence initiatives.
Support the design, delivery and maintain engaging and informative training programs on compliance-related topics for managers, Bank and Agency workers.
Identify professional development needs and ensure relevant training is delivered and completed in relation to the temporary workforce
