Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Communicative Disorders seeks applications for a full-time twelve-month staff position as Clinical Coordinator, beginning July 01, 2024. This position involves clinical education administrative tasks associated with the on-campus clinic and extension sites. The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating practicums and delivering the clinical education portion of the CMD curriculum, in collaboration with the CMD Faculty. This position requires contact with students,outside constituents, professional organizations, and faculty.
Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

Master’s degree or Doctorate in Speech-Language and Pathology and/or Audiology
with demonstrated clinical expertise.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Three years of experience as a university or external clinical supervisor for speech-language pathology students isstrongly preferred.

  • Plans, coordinates, and participates in CMD Practicum
  • Coordinates and provides clinical supervision
  • Directs student clinicians in all domains of professional clinical practice
  • Appropriately assesses student learning and performance
  • Maintains students clinical clock hours in Typhon
  • Initiates and maintains community partnerships
  • Identifies and secures clinical sites and/or clinical partnerships/educators for practicum experiences
  • Appropriately communicates to faculty and program director on student information
  • Teaches one clinical course per semester
  • Designs, coordinates, and implements clinical simulations
  • Uses learning assessment information to improve teaching and curriculum
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to meet program and institutional goals
  • Works collaboratively with CMD Faculty
  • Advises students on clinical performance
