Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Registered Nurse or a Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join the Supervised Injection Site Team in Vancouver, BC as a Clinical Coordinator. Apply today to join our team!
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Current practising registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Three (3) years’ recent, related clinical nursing experience in Community Health Nursing and/or related clinical experience working with Indigenous-Led or First Nation organizations including one (1) year related experience in a leadership/supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
- Comprehensive knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in client care.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to the changing health system and an understanding the broad determinants of health.
- General knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice and Harm Reduction approaches and Strengths-based care.
- Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety.
- Demonstrated ability to provide competent and culturally safety care in a variety of settings and with diverse populations.
- Broad knowledge of the local Community and regional initiatives that may impact patient care, resource access or practice guidelines.
- Demonstrated ability in dealing with a variety of situations and responsibilities requiring initiative and professional judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
- Ability to supervise.
- Demonstrated skill in CPR techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to apply decision making and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and work direction to the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
