Description:

Are you a qualified Clinical Psychologist with a passion for working with young people with mental health conditions?
Are you keen to be part of a new and exciting CAMHS service?
Here in our Children in Care service we are looking for a band 7 Clinical Psychologist to join our dynamic team based in Wokingham.
Grounded in a strengths-based, trauma informed approach, the team strive to embed positive partnerships with key adults and networks to improve the outcomes for young people in care.
Under the supervision of an experienced clinical psychologist, you will provide tailored, needs-led support based on psychologically informed formulations and systemically delivered interventions.
You’ll work with young people, families, local authorities and partner agencies online and in person to understand and respond to the unique needs of young people in care. Therefore, previous experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties and complex needs is essential.
The Trust encourage development and can offer you both internal and external training opportunities for you within this role.
We operate Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:00pm and are open to applicants looking for either full or part time.
Provide advice on assessment; psychological formulation of clinical presentation and risk and make appropriate care plans for ongoing care.
Attend and participate in Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) reviews and other meetings as required.
Liaise with professionals from other service delivery teams and with external agencies as required to ensure appropriate clinical care.
Operate as the Lead Professional and as such be responsible for expert psychological assessment, case formulation and treatment for a designated number of patients.
Responsible for making recommendations to the Multidisciplinary team on additional assessment or interventions and skills required from the multidisciplinary team to deliver

Responsibilities:

Hold a Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical / Counselling Psychology
HCPC registration
Have experience working with young people with mental health difficulties
A full UK license and access to vehicle
