Clinical Psychologist – Band 8a (1.5 WTE). (We will consider applications from candidates who would prefer to work reduced hours and those who are newly qualified and would like to come in on a preceptorship, Band 7-8a)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical psychologist to work within Older Adult Mental Health and Dementia inpatient Wards . Working in inpatient mental health is a great use of all skills we have as psychologists; it’s a great place to learn and develop. The role is diverse, stimulating, and thought-provoking. If you would like opportunities to engage in 1:1 work, group interventions, staff consultation, and teaching and supervision, with excellent support from a qualified psychologist, then please apply to join our friendly team!
If you’re passionate about working with older adults both those with dementia or those with a broad range of mental health presentations, enjoy working with the MDT undertake shared formulations and clinical supervision, then this is the role for you. You will have a significant role working with the ward MDT to develop collaborative, trauma informed formulations, that inform least restrictive patient care. We’re keen to recruit people with an interest and experience of working with older people with cognitive and or mental health challenges. You’re also very welcome to come and meet some of the team and see the environment you could be working in.
