Description:
This post is an integral part of the clinical education team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be expected to work closely with other members of the team to plan, deliver, support and evaluate a range of educational initiatives across the organisation which may include
- Contributing to the delivery of core clinical educational programmes including clinical induction programmes
- Support, coaching and assessment in the workplace for various members of the clinical workforce.
- Supporting International Nurse recruits through the process of transitioning to working in an NHS environment and obtaining NMC registration.
- Working alongside Directorate Nursing Teams and Specialists to provide tailored educational support to clinical teams as part of quality improvement and organisational change initiatives.
- Working with Managers and other leaders within the organisation to formulate plans to meet identified educational needs for specific staff/groups.
- Manage a system for training and assessment in the use of medical devices.
There is a clinical element to this role, which will mean providing active support to members of our clinical teams.
We are a small and busy team situated with the learning and education department of the hospital. This post holder will take responsibility for the day to day operational management of the team and contribute to decision making and direction.
To work closely with the Clinical Skills and Manual Handling Lead to
Lead and manage a team of educators providing education and training across a range of clinical subjects
Manage the transition from classroom based educational delivery to a multi-method approach
React to changes and developments in the organisation and provide educational support with these
Support staff who are learning in the workplace
