Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen in Ward 5E/F for a motivated Clinical Educator who is passionate about the provision and on-going development of excellent patient care.
The Clinical Educator (CE) will identify training needs, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities for students, new starters and existing members of non-medical staff (Band 1-6) within their clinical area and the directorate in the Division.
You will be a role model for your colleagues, demonstrating exemplary care, challenging, recognising and inspiring others similarly. Further responsibilities include bedside teaching, induction and orientation of new staff, study day organisation and delivery and recognition of staff learning requirements.
You will need to be a motivated and enthusiastic individual, with excellent communication and leadership skills. We would welcome applications from Band 5 or Band 6 Nurses with a minimum of two years clinical experience.

Work alongside learners to facilitate their independent learning
Work to an agreed job plan to maximise education delivery to support staff and patient safety/experience.
Manage their own time to ensure a balance between clinical education and education administrative activities
Actively promote and contribute to an inter-professional learning environment
Deliver education programmes at a divisional level and where required cross divisionally in support of organisational priorities.
Work as part of the local and corporate practice development teams
Assist in anticipating and addressing the educational needs of the service
Work across boundaries to proactively develop and sustain partnerships
Participate in audit, service improvement and research projects relevant to the clinical educator role
