Description:

!!—Attachment Focus— DMM model—relevant training available—!!
We are seeking to recruit an innovative, enthusiastic and motivated Band 8a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologists to join a large and dynamic psychology department in the Forensic Directorate covering medium and low security as well as forensic community services in East London. We would also consider offering this as Band 7 development post for applicants with relevant experience
The post holder will lead on the implementation of an attachment focused model of working (DMM), especially in relation to discharging longer-stay service users, and in applying this model to achieve a more nuanced understanding of risk. Relevant training will be available.
The post holders will be based in the low secure service at Wolfson House, and will be embedded in a particular ward MDT, but will also be closely aligned to the forensic community team; bridging inpatient and community services will be an integral part of the role.
The post holder will be responsible for the psychological care of all (male) service users on one ward, as well as feeding into unit and directorate-wide activities.
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a relevant setting, and would be able to take on some organisational and line management responsibilities alongside their clinical role. As a senior member of staff, the post holder will also be supported to contribute to wider service development opportunities.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people’s lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
