Remuneration: Salary $141,765.52 per annum (pro-rata) plus superannuation
Location: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS TO PRACTICE AS A MCH NURSE IN VICTORIA, AS OUTLINED IN THE POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Current registration with AHPRA:
- Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- Registered Midwife, and;
In addition to the above registrations, accredited postgraduate Diploma/Degree (or equivalent) in Child and Family Health Nursing.
- Experience in Clinical Governance: Demonstrated expertise in governance processes within a health or community service setting.
- Strong Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Project management expertise with the ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and achieve outcomes.
- Confidence and experience in developing and delivering training and communicating complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, teamwork development, and innovative service development.
- Experience working in MCH nursing for a minimum of five years.
- Previous experience within the local government sector (desirable).
- A proactive approach to enhancing service delivery and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Clinical Governance Senior Project Officer to lead a project focused on developing a clinical governance framework for Wyndham’s Child, Family Health and Wellbeing (CFHW) service, addressing key areas of risk, compliance, and quality improvement. This initiative will create a sustainable model by leveraging insights from various stakeholders to standardise procedures, close gaps identified in recent audits, and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
The project aims to enhance operational effectiveness, provide targeted training, and improve clinical governance processes, to support the MCH team in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and outcomes to families and children.
This is a fixed term 12-month, part time position (22.8 hours per week, across 3 days) within the Maternal Child & Family Health unit.
