Description:

Position Summary: Reporting to the VP of Clinical & Operations HR Services, the Clinicial Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will function as an integrated member of the Operations and Medical Leadership teams by providing comprehensive human resources support to our Physicians and Nurse Midwives. The Human Resources Business Partner will work collaboratively with designated clinical and operations leaders to incorporate human resource expertise to support and maximize team/departmental performance. With a working knowledge of the business and team goals/objectives, the HRBP will guide and influence leaders to execute operational and strategic business objectives. The HRBP will also ensure the quality of Human Resource service delivery through effective collaboration with all members of the HR department and consistent application of HR policies, processes and systems.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business administration or HR related field
  • Must have 10 or more years of professional exempt level HR experience
  • Experience with federal and multiple state regulations and compliance requirements preferred
  • Supervisory experience desired
  • Experience working with clinicians preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proven relationship building skills that develop partnerships to drive results
  • Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Human Resources
  • Proficiency in MS office tools like PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to present information to executive level management
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work

Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact to assigned business area and executive leadership.
  • Consults with management on organizational and people issues such as employee development, business unit restructures, succession planning, workforce planning, retention, training and diversity.
  • Consults with and provides guidance to both managers and employees regarding a variety of issues, including issue resolution, career development, employee relations, performance improvement, corrective counseling and other HR issues as needed.
  • Identifies and executes opportunities to promote and disseminate company culture and values to new and existing employees and clinicians.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with others throughout the organization and within HR department to resolve routine and complex human resource related issues and questions.
  • Establishes trust and credibility for HR through daily interactions.
  • Handles confidential/sensitive information with professionalism and care.
  • Acts as internal consultant by analyzing and observing process designs to identify barriers to successful outcomes.
  • Develops and deploys strategy and tactics to enhance effectiveness of employee and clinician onboarding and retention.
  • Acts as a change agent with an emphasis on aligning business practice with company’s mission and values.
  • Consults with leaders to develop and execute business strategy, while considering cultural implications.
  • Participates in annual strategic planning initiatives.
  • Conducts regular follow-up with employees to determine the effectiveness of recruiting, onboarding and training.
  • Communicates with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport and gauge morale.
  • Participates in developing HR department goals and objectives and in recommending new approaches, practices and procedures for continual process improvement.
  • Ensures Human Resource practices and management decisions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manages Human Resource projects and implementations.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.
