QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Graduate from an accredited school or university
• Master’s Degree Education, Nursing and/or Health Related Field or post-master’s certificate in education
• At least three years experience in emergency nursing
• Five years in acute care clinical services
• Two years in professional development/education
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

• Telemetry and/or stepdown experience
• Two years in QI, EBP, Research

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

• Full-Time
• Day shift
• 37.5 hrs. weekly
• Travel throughout RWJBH

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Demonstrates effective teaching skills through appropriate instruction methodologies; communicates principles of adult education and applies adult learning theory when conducting programs. Provides for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education. Organizes multiple assignments and/or projects simultaneously to accomplish goals. Visible and accessible to clinical staff. Additional duties and responsibilities as delegated within NPD Scope and Standards of Practice. Role requires flexibility, adaptability, and independent prioritization of responsibilities.
