Description:
We are looking for a Clinical Laboratory Technician to join our Clinicals team to deliver clinical support for R&D projects of consumer diagnostic products in the area of reproductive health in a regulated and GCP and GLP compliant environment.
SPD (Swiss Precision Diagnostics) are world leaders in the research, design and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products. SPD is a joint venture business between P&G and Abbott and our brand Clearblue is recognised the world over as providing accurate home pregnancy and fertility monitoring tests.
In this role you will be required to work both independently and within a small team supporting the day to day preparation and processing of samples for the clinical laboratory. You will receive samples in our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and prepare, aliquot and store the clinical samples (e.g. urine, blood, plasma, serum). You will undertake clinical sample inventory checking and clinical sample collection from fridges and freezers. You will analyse samples using automated and manual equipment/procedures for routine analytical testing and method development activities. You will operate, maintain and troubleshoot the clinical analysers and liquid handling robotic systems.
You will also be involved in identifying and recruiting volunteers for clinical studies, support the conduct of volunteer studies with packaging and shipment of volunteer supplies and provide support to the Clinical Research Associates and Data Management teams as required.
