Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly qualified dietitian to work in our Intellectual Developmental Disabilities(IDD) Care Unit with a dynamic, compassionate IDD Dietetic community team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for a highly motivated autonomous Dietitian with leadership experience. The role would be Full time 37.5hrs providing a team leader role for the Community IDD Dietetics Team.
The service currently operates around the hours of 9-5pm Mon-Fri.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
You will be providing specialist evidence based dietary advice and treatment, ensuring people with learning disability, their carers and families benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective service within the IDD Dietetic Service.
You will provide leadership for senior, junior, & unqualified staff, and lead on the development and delivery of training and professional mentorship.
The IDD Dietetic service is at an exciting phase for the development of the service within the directorate with the support of the multi-disciplinary team.

The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that clients and their carers benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective Dietetic treatment.
The service includes individually tailored therapy and management, training, advice and a consultative approach. Input is predominantly on a one on one basis but consultation and training may be provided to train staff as required.
In addition to direct client management the role requires input at a strategic level, management of Dietetic colleagues and day to-day management of the service
