Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, competent and passionate band 7 Clinical Lead to join the North Mersey First Response Service .
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Multi disciplinary team with urgent triage via the telephone system and the creation of safety plans.
The post holder will also be responsible for the booking in and completion of Urgent mental health assessments, and collaboratively working with a number of professionals including GPS, emergency services and others the post holder will also support the Operational manager with the day to day activities, including supervision, auditing and embedding pathways and processes.
The post holder will hold overall clinical leadership responsibility for the team and on a shift basis, you will be responsible for the overall standards which will include assessment of need, risk and delivery of care within the organisations policy and procedures.
The post holder will work to ensure continuity of care for service users on their journey through the service. The post holder will be multi-skilled and adaptable in order that they may transfer their skills across the spectrum of service delivered in CORE 24, and be expected to be flexible in terms of delivering care within a variety of settings.
The post holder will be a part of and work closely with the Clinical / Operational Leadership Team to ensure effective and safe services. Ensure effective communication and provide sound clinical supervision to junior staff

EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT
Organise and undertake ward based teaching where appropriate ensuring that the environment is suitable for student nurse placements.
Lead and support the implementation of evidence based practice in line with current research.
Work closely with Education Facilitator to assist skills acquisition and facilitate workforce planning and development.
Coordinate preceptorship and mentorship for all staff including those in training.
Demonstrate the acquisition and application of knowledge in line with current research and evidence-based practice.
Undertake appropriate continuing professional development.
Promote a positive learning environment by contributing to teaching, training and supervision of junior staff and learners within the organisation.
Provide evidence to support development around the Trust Appraisal system which may include the KSF or other competency profiles.
Design and deliver an ongoing programme of formal mental health education in conjunction with post graduate teaching department to all professional staff within the acute hospital setting.
Provide regular service awareness sessions for staff across hospital settings.
Provide evidence to support development around the Trust appraisal system which includes KSF.
Participate in regular supervision, engage in reflective practice and be committed to continued development.
Develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the development of others.
