To be responsible for leading the CT, MRI, X-ray and Dexa service at Candover Clinic To promote imaging excellence and to provide specialist knowledge and expert advice regarding imaging at the Candover Clinic To operationally manage the cross-sectional imaging service, including line management of staff. To undertake a wide range of cross-sectional imaging examinations across a range of specialities including cardiac, peripheral vascular, MSK, whole body imaging, neurological, Cardiac perfusion stress examinations, X-ray and Dexa Assess and prioritise the workload according to demand and also to fulfil the needs of the private patient service. Where appropriate, to independently assess and vet MRI referrals following Department policy, and guidelines. To participate in the 7 day working service / out of hours / on call / extended working day service as required.
To ensure MR safety in accordance with MHRA guidelines for MRI in clinical use. To undertake personal and professional development. To give IV injections of MRI contrast agents, including the use of specialist injector pumps. Act as an appropriate role model for the profession and comply with professional standards, guidelines and codes of conduct.
Investigate and provide first line response to incident reports relating to cross sectional imaging. Attend RPS course and take on role of department Radiation Protection Safety Officer with one other current RPS. Attend all RPS meetings as require
