REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Work Experience:

• 3 years of experience required OR a graduate from an accredited Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program required.

Manage the daily operations of clinical pharmacy services at the health-system level.

• Coordinate Expert Review Panels composed of pharmacists, doctors and other healthcare members.
• Develop and lead comprehensive multidisciplinary clinical initiatives for therapeutic management of disease states, medication appropriateness, and formulary optimization in a variety of clinical areas.
• Develop and implement initiative tracking activities to include clinical decision support, dashboards, clinical outcomes, medication use evaluation, site and system utilization, formulary management, contracting and pharmacoeconomics.
• Act as a liaison to support clinical pharmacy activities between the market level and national pharmacy team.
• Conduct competency assessments and coordinate the training and development of pharmacists, pharmacy residents and pharmacy students.
• Develop and manage departmental budget to promote pharmacoeconomics.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations. Also serve on various committees.
