About the Role: Ward 3A is a 28-bed surgical unit located in Building 1 Level 3 at Logan Hospital. The physical ward structure consists of six (6) four bed bays and four (4) single rooms. The ward has recently received a renovation and will commence as a new unit in late 2024. Ward 3A will initially function as a mixed surgical/medical unit transitioning to primary surgical focus in early 2025. The model of care will include mixed surgical speciality and gastroenterology patients requiring admission.
About You: The purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership relevant to the speciality of surgery. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) provides direct and indirect care as required and works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider multidisciplinary health care team support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of surgery.
