Your part in The Wesley Hospital team
The Clinical Nurse Educator - ICU develops and facilitates training and education to staff in their allocated departments, as well as the wider hospital community. They will work closely with the unit managers, the risk and quality team, and the Metro Education Manager, to identify areas where training is required. They are then required to develop and execute education programs directed at these areas. The Clinical Nurse Educator also needs to engage with staff to identify the individuals’ learning needs and provide support and education.
The successful applicant will work in the Staff Development Department under the direction of the Metro Education Manager.

What makes a difference for us?

• Experience in clinical education and teaching
• A strong clinical background and knowledge of ICU, ideally with a post graduate qualification in one of these areas
• Have or working towards Certificate IV (workplace training and assessment) or post graduate education qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient computer skills to be able to develop e-learning components
• Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team
