Description:
To review local services for mental health to identify gaps and to establish a baseline for service delivery, including the identification of and liaison with multi-agency resources currently supporting mental health. Influence the care provided by other Health and Social care professionals through provision of guidance and involvement in formal teaching Demonstrates a highly developed specialist knowledge within own discipline underpinned by current evidence based practice acting as a reference for colleagues and other agencies. To actively engage with clinicians and all key stakeholders throughout the Trust and to foster good working relationships to ensure effective partnership approach to achieving multi agency outcomes To coordinate and manage the Therapeutic Practitioner CSWs within the Trust. To provide supervision and guidance to the Mental Health Liaison Nurses across the trust.
The post holder is responsible for supporting clinical areas, Junior and senior staff with the day to day delivery of care, ensuring optimal and high standards of care are delivered to patients with a diagnosis of mental health. To contribute expert knowledge and advice on investigations of incidents involving people with mental health, including involvement in the development and implementation of action planning. Be actively involved in the planning, delivery and participation of in service training, peer group review and professional development activities. Contribute to the identification of training needs for staff and ensure training reflects developments in the area of mental health.
Initiate and create awareness programmes and projects to facilitate learning across the Trust of evidence based practice for mental health. To provide high level assurance reports to the relevant committees on a monthly basis in line with local governance, based on key performance indicator
