The Ambulatory and Elective Care Team at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse (Respiratory) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings; and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff.

The Respiratory Clinical Nurse aims to provide a continuum of care to facilitate a holistic and quality health service for adults to achieve quality outcomes ensuring optimum management, safe discharge and appropriate follow up care. As part of our hospital continuum of care strategy we empower/enable our patients to manage their chronic disease and to feel safe and supported in their home environment.
