MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

You will work alongside the Paediatricians , delivering nurse led follow up appointments for neurodevelopmental assessments that will support the diagnostic pathway. You will also be involved in delivering post diagnostic support for families where a child has been diagnosed with ASD ensuring that families are given information needed to support their child’s ongoing care and developmental needs. The role also requires you to deliver annual reviews for children and young people up to the age of 18 with ADHD,
This role involves liaising with a range of health professionals ensuring that the pathway for children with neurodevelopmental delay is as efficient as it can be and effective in supporting children to reach their potential.
The service covers an area of Surrey and this post will work alongside another CNS roles e.g epilepsy.
The post holder will be expected to know what is available to families in the area the service covers ensuring that whilst waiting for a full assessment the child / family have access to a range of ‘Early Help’ services that will inform the assessment process
