JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Outcomes Analyst 2 obtains and analyzes clinical data to identify process improvement opportunities, reviews data and identifies trends, reports findings, inputs analysis into clinical databases for core measures and other related programs and recommends process improvement initiatives that can enhance the quality of patient care for the organization. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, relies on personal judgment to plan and accomplish goals under minimal supervision and may lead/direct the work of others. The Clinical Outcomes Analyst 2 works with the Neuro/Ortho/Inpatient Rehab team and Vice President to develop program best practices and multiple centers of excellence. This position takes initiative, ensures accountability, and coordinates Joint Commission Certifications including Lourdes Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Lourdes Hip/Knee Joint Replacement Disease Specific Certification, and potential additional certifications in the service lines. This position also ensures that Joint Commission requirements and measures are not only tracked, but also met to assure continued certification, takes ownership of Joint commission measures and collaborates with hospital wide team members to implement action plans. The clinical outcome analyst participates in the acquisition of service line metrics for team members and physicians, serves as the primary liaison with the Blue Distinction program and other potential center of excellence initiatives, and works closely with multiple Ortho/Neuro/Inpatient Rehab service line leaders to assist with growth and quality initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience – 2 years of related experience
Education - Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Special Skills - Proficient in the English language, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills
Licensure - Current Louisiana State license as RN and BLS certification

  • Consultation and Partnerships
  • Assists hospital staff, senior and medical staff leadership, and physicians with performance improvement tasks to achieve best practice outcomes.
  • Reports pertinent findings to appropriate staff.
  • Is an effective communicator.
  • Effectively utilizes personal judgement to accomplish PI tasks under supervision.
  • Intervenes and communicates the opportunities for optimal patient outcomes to appropriate staff.
  • Assists hospital staff, senior and medical staff leadership, and physicians with functions requiring measurement, data analysis, and achieving best practice outcomes.
