Description:

The post holder will be required to work within the Clinical Placement Team and to support the quality assurance of placement areas. The post holder will communicate with Placement Areas to ensure that Profiles are up-to-date, to enable correct information for students is available. Assist with data collection for accurate reporting of data.
This role assists with the provision of quality nursing placements throughout the organisation and involves some networking. You will work as part of a team that are responsible for health care student placements throughout the organisation.
Support the provision of quality clinical placements by visiting teams to ensure sufficient capacity within the team for Practice Assessors and Practice Supervisors as part of the audit process.
Contribute to the development and monitoring of mechanisms to ensure the successful preparation, updating and support for all Practice Assessors and Supervisors. This will involve supporting the Practice Assessors and Supervisors to complete the annual update requirements.
Complete audits as part of the quality assurance process regarding the clinical learning environment.
Contribute to reports for Committees relating to quality assurance of student placements by providing analysis and presentation of data.
To inform the Clinical Placement Facilitators of any issues regarding Practice Assessor/Practice
Monitor the number of registrants within teams to ensure appropriate capacity to robustly support students; identify solutions to mitigate any issues or challenges.
Take an active part in the delivery of projects and lead elements as appropriate.
To support the induction of new team members into the team and support throughout any local induction.
Provide best practice advice in clinical settings for Practice Assessors and Supervisors and staff in relation to clinical practice and governance.

Develop, facilitate and deliver teaching sessions within specialist subjects to students within services.
Develop standard operating procedures relating to clinical practice and education as appropriate.
To contribute to the writing of concise and clear reports and documents.
To support the recording, collating and sharing of information as required.
Contribute to the monitoring of Practice Assessors and Practice Supervisors, placement databases and placement profiles to ensure quality assurance of areas.
To assist, though regular audit, any gaps in quality of service or performance deficits and processes and report to the Clinical Placement Facilitators.
Identify any issues with student performance and feed back to the Clinical Practice Facilitators for action.
To contribute to policy and service changes as required.
To actively promote to learners and upholding of policies, procedures, guidelines and directives, along with relevant statutory measures and governmental directive
Ensure that practice is evidence-based paying particular attention to the Trusts guidelines, policies, protocols and pathways.
Be available for individual supervision with agreed clinical supervisor in line with Trust policies.
Plan and organise own daily activities in line with service need, undertaking quarterly reviews.
Utilise enhanced communication and facilitation skills when delivering training and development sessions to ensure effective transfer of knowledge.
To communicate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure required information is accurate.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Trust in order to meet service requirements and support and demonstrate the Trust’s values.
Provide and receive information orally, in writing or electronically.
Responsible for effective communication with a range of disciplines.
Maintain accurate records where frequent concentration will be required.
Respond to queries ensuring appropriate means of communication is used and report to senior member of the team as necessary.
To establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Trust in order to meet service requirements supporting and demonstrating the Trust values.
To influence and negotiate with multi-disciplinary teams and external partners to deliver personalised quality services
