Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
Ramsay is seeking a strategic and dynamic individual to lead the end-to-end procurement management of our medical consumables and prostheses. Reporting directly to the General Manager for Clinical Procurement, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing innovative category strategies, fostering strong supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.
REQUIREMENTS
- You may have to provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop and implement strategies for medical consumables and prostheses, including conducting market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Identify commercial opportunities and efficiencies within procurement activities.
- Oversee the creation, negotiation, and management of contracts to ensure compliance and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Engage State Operations Managers and Hospital Executive teams in procurement activities, including the Product Review Process, by gathering feedback to inform buying decisions and enhance procurement effectiveness.
- Hold accountability for procurement categories and projects from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate benefit reporting, monitoring compliance, and taking corrective actions as needed to exceed budgetary targets.
- Develop collaborative models with business stakeholders, procurement colleagues, and supplier representatives to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Utilise data analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Work with direct teams and other departments to foster a culture of support and continuous improvement, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
Key skills and experience you bring to the role include:
- Extensive experience in procurement, particularly in medical consumables and prostheses categories.
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective category strategies.
- Expertise in conducting market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Skilled in implementing SRM strategies for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Expertise in contract creation, negotiation, and management to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
- Ability to lead and manage strategic sourcing activities, including tenders and evaluations.
- Capability to apply a “Total Cost of Ownership” mindset when evaluating procurement opportunities
