Description:

We are looking for applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic clinical or counselling psychologists to join our supportive team of therapists providing client-centred, flexible, inclusive and respectful assessment and therapy to adults and their families living in South Kensington and Chelsea.
We are keen to invest in the development of new practitioners joining our service to enhance their knowledge, skills, clinical practice, leadership and confidence in working in this area.
In CNWL, psychological professions have a strong sense of leadership and a distinct professional identity. There is an emphasis on Continuing Professional Development and developing your skills in line with your career progression goals.
The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.
The Psychology team works with adults in the community with severe and enduring mental health problems including psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, complex emotional needs, recurrent depression and complex PTSD. We welcome applications from candidates with specialist skills in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) but we are also interested in candidates with interests in specialist therapies such as CBTp, DBT, or Schema Therapy approaches. Any candidates with group experience would be particularly well-placed to contribute to our group programme in the service.
Our staff work pro-actively, with confidence and motivation, showing initiative which has contributed to the development of numerous award-winning services. We find that they are often flexible, robust and resourceful and able to manage the challenges of working in an environment which can be demanding.
We prioritize collaboration within our team and beyond, so we are hoping to find candidates who have the required communication and interpersonal skills that will allow them to thrive, and in order to provide a meaningful service to the diverse populations we serve.
Our team sits within a diverse and supportive local multidisciplinary service with good supervision structures and access to opportunities within the borough and wider trust for development of special interests and the sharing of specialist knowledge. The service has close links with several regional Clinical Psychology Training courses.
