Description:

We are excited to be able to go out to advert for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our expanding Adult eating disorder (AEDS) Countywide community team.
To ensure the systematic provision of a high quality specialist clinical/counselling psychology service to clients as part of a multidisciplinary team. To supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by assistant and trainee psychologists and other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based care and treatment.

To provide a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist service to adult age client’s with eating disorders and complex psychological problems both directly and through advice and consultation to other professionals whilst working autonomously within professional guidelines and to the relevant policies and procedures. The role will involve both direct therapy work and indirect specialist support to the team, overall AEDS service and other agencies.
The post holder will be expected to work with eating disorders, complex psychological problems and distress and provide highly specialist individual, and group psychological assessment, formulations and intervention. It will be expected that the post holder will also provide regular supervision and consultation on client’s psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.
