Description:
Are you an innovative, creative, motivated caring professional who is looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity to join our well established Intellectual Disability (ID) CAMHS service.
As a Clinical Psychologist you will act as a Care Coordinator for a dedicated caseload of patients who may be presenting with behaviours that challenge and/or significant mental health needs. You would provide person centred, evidence-based, targeted interventions to support the child, their parents/carers and the multi-agency team. You will be provided with regular clinical and peer supervision.
The team work collaboratively, you will have the support and opportunity to develop your own skills and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The Clinical Psychologist role is a Part Time permanent position within the pan-Dorset ID CAMHS service. The role will involve working across the two sites in Dorset - Southbourne and Dorchester, with your base of work being in Seascape, Southbourne. You will need to have a valid driving licence and use of a car as you will be required to review and monitor patients in their own homes and within other community settings. Opportunities for flexible working are available as long as the service needs are met.
To provide a specialised psychology Service to the Pan Dorset ID CAMHs service. The post holder will provide psychological advice, consultation, training and supervision to non-psychological colleagues in addition to the direct provision of psychological assessments and interventions and where appropriate clinical support for pilot projects and clinical developments across the service. The post holder will liaise closely with other Clinical Psychologists and other key senior staff within the service to support the implementation of agreed system changes and service developments within the directorate.
