Band 7/8a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and creative clinical/counselling psychologist to join our team. Haringey Learning Disability Partnership is an integrated health and social care team supporting adults with learning disabilities and their networks. The post holder will join a small but supportive psychology team, as well as wider multi-disciplinary colleagues which include psychiatry, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, nursing, speech and language therapy and social care.
Work opportunities are extremely varied and include a mix of direct and indirect clinical work, teaching and training, consultation and support in service development. We have strong links with North Thames Clinical Psychology training courses with trainees regularly on placement with the team. The post holder can benefit from professional development opportunities both through North London Mental Health partnership and Haringey Local Authority.
We are looking for a motivated, creative, and passionate Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join a specialist Learning Disability Service in Haringey. They will join a friendly and experienced multidisciplinary team.
Haringey Learning Disability Partnership (HLDP) meets the health and social care needs of adults with learning disabilities in Haringey. The applicant will have the opportunity to implement a variety of psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to support people with learning disabilities and the team around them. HLDP places value on strength-based approaches and the post holder will have a key responsibility in promoting a trauma informed approach. There are opportunities to draw on different psychological frameworks and to develop skills in clinical leadership, providing supervision and delivery of teaching and training. This is a varied role and most suitable for a dynamic practitioner keen to challenge themselves and committed to collaborative working.
Our Psychology team is extremely supportive and the postholder will receive individual supervision. There are opportunities to access reflective practice facilitated by an external facilitator and multi-disciplinary supervision for complex cases drawing on PTMF. This is a development post, which offers the possibility of moving to a Band 8a upon achievement of the necessary skills, knowledge and competencies.
The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.
Why choose to join the Partnership?
