Description:
We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist who has experience working with children and/or adults with neurodevelopmental difficulties including ASD, Intellectual Disabilities and ADHD and long term health conditions. The post will be split across our new and innovative Hull and East Riding Neurodevelopmental service and the well established and highly specialist Humber Adult Autism Diagnostic Service.
The post holder will have the opportunity to be part of both specialist diagnostic assessments and interventions for neurodevelopmental conditions within the children’s service and conduct specialist autism diagnostic assessments with adults. The successful applicant will also provide supervision to MDT members, consultations and training to other agencies. Furthermore, this role will also include some level of service development and influence in local relevant strategies for young people and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions. If you have relevant skills and experience with complex clinical work, supervision and consultation in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting, we would be delighted to hear from you.
You will join a busy and well established team consisting of Nurses with a broad range of specialities, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Psychology and Psychiatry. You will have the opportunity to influence the development of the service at a systemic and interagency level.
This is an exciting time to be joining the service due to the extensive transformation work being undertaken by not only our service, but also the wider Neurodiversity work within which our service sits. This is developing a multi-agency approach to meeting the needs of children and adults with neurodiversity and their families. We also have a strong focus on evidence based practice and the use of routine outcome measures. There is a commitment to ongoing staff training to enable practitioners to have accredited therapeutic and supervisory skills. We are also working towards having more participation from young people, adults and their families in directing service development.
