The CMHTs have not previously had substantive psychologists in post, and therefore these post holders will work with the Consultant leads to establish the remit of the roles and embed psychological ways of working throughout the teams.
This job will involve engaging team members in, and extolling the virtue of what can provided as an applied practitioner psychologist: training, supervision, consultation, reflective practice, formulation groups, joint assessment, as well the tailored provision of specialist psychological therapy where necessary on a 1:1, or group basis. Alongside the clinical work will be an expectation to support the service development activities of the Consultant with a view to further expanding psychological provision for older people with mental health difficulties and dementia throughout the county
