Under the clinical leadership of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to support them in providing a comprehensive psychology service to the team based at RVI Hospital. To provide a specialised and experienced clinical psychology service for patients with the most complex /challenging presentations, by assessing and treating own specialist caseload of patient, plus maintaining associated records. Provides a qualified specialist clinical Psychology service across all sectors of care; providing specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy. Offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously Job Evaluation Reference: CAR/PTA/CAR/TRT/183 within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures.
To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate.The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
