Description:

We want to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic, and dynamic Clinical Psychologist, to join our Stepped Care Initiative within Adult Mental Health Psychology & Psychological Services across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This post is permanent and will be based in the Central region.
The post involves working with primary care mental health services across the age range of younger and older adults. You will be joining a friendly, welcoming, and growing Adult Mental Health Psychology & Psychological Services, with excellent clinical and research links with the School of Psychology and the DClinPsych Department at the University of Wales, Bangor.
The countryside of North Wales offers an excellent quality of life, and the post is within existing established inpatient psychology services. The post holder will also benefit from BCUHB wide links across North Wales within the wider Psychology Services, with opportunity for clinical networking North Wales wide. You will be well supported, mentored, supervised, and managed within AMH Psychology.
The post holder will work under the supervision of the Consultant Clinical Psychologist post for Stepped Care in BCUHB and be expected to provide leadership to the Primary Mental Health Service MDT on psychological knowledge and skills, relevant to all the practitioners within LPMHSS. This will require excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to integrate and co-work well with MDT colleagues, so providing accessible specialist psychological knowledge and expertise to the primary care mental health team. As well as providing direct clinical input to clients including specialised psychological assessments and neuropsychological assessments, formulation, and group or individual intervention work; the post will also involve working through others by offering training, supervision, and team formulation. It will involve attendance at clinical MDT meetings, referral meetings, primary care business meetings, and general clinical leadership. It will also involve the supervision of lower grade psychologists, assistants and trainees.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
