Band 7 To provide a qualified specialist clinical psychology service to theneuropsychology service, including inpatients and outpatients; providingspecialist neuropsychological and psychological assessment, formulation andtherapy. Offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service. Band 8a To take responsibility for clinical neuropsychology provision for patients referred to the life span mitochondrial and adult neuropsychological service for assessment, formulation and diagnostic opinion.
To provide supervision of assistant and/or trainee clinical psychologists. Provide a qualified specialist clinical neuropsychology service based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle providing specialist neuropsychological assessment, formulation and therapy. Offering advice and consultation on clients psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines and to other, non-professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the neuropsychology service.
